Glades Area ARC Services

People with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD) can choose to do more today than ever before. Our job at The Arc is to make sure that people know their choices, and help them make the best one. Sometimes it takes hard work to make that choice a reality.

Men and women who twenty years ago could expect to spend their lives in state institutions today are in their own homes (helped by The Arc's Supported Living Coach), after developing skills and habits for success acquired at The Arc's Adult Day programs.

Even if a job is not available, The Arc is committed to getting people involved in their community, and getting the community involved with them.

Who Is Eligible?

Anyone 18 years of age or older who:
1) is a client of Florida's Agency for Persons with Disabilities,
2) wants to be a part of the community, and
3) chooses to come to Arc.
